Cisco: The Cisco Security Virtual Reality Experience

Cloud, mobility, the Internet of Everything (IoE), and social media technologies, combined with digital business practices, have helped countless organizations transform how they operate. But they have also increased organizations’ vulnerability to attack. Cisco sought to challenge the widely held but dangerously outdated two-dimensional ‘walls and moats’ metaphor for security and emphasize that it’s not a matter of “if” a network will come under attack, but “when.”

To tell this multi-dimensional story, Allison+Partners created a virtual reality matrix that puts the user at the center of a virtual network and allows them physically explore the multiple threats it faces every day, and the advanced security solutions needed to protect vital data.

The VR experience was rolled out to Cisco Customer Experience Centers (CXCs) across Asia Pacific and Japan. The initial success of these installed units was so great that another five CXC are due to be added in China, Europe and Africa. With the current rollout and plans to broaden access for key partners, the Cisco marketing and communications team are targeting more than 1,000 customer engagements for the technology by end of the first quarter of 2017.
